BTS Summer Internship Program

Many organizations offer summer internship programs as a trial run for students and recent graduates looking to gain field experience. For the aspiring student, it is the perfect opportunity to apply classroom theory to real world situations.

This summer BTS Consulting & Training offered Stephanie Hoeve an eight week business internship to assist the organization in program logistics and material development. The internship allowed Stephanie the opportunity to shadow and learn the training business from lead project manager, Dede Dancey. Dede put Stephanie to work developing training schedules, proof and editing materials and providing business administration support.

When asked about how her experience was with BTS, she said, "I found that my thoughts were always well received and welcomed by management. Having the opportunity to work with experienced professionals has helped further my understanding of project management and has prepared me to transition into a full time position." Because of her enthusiasm, willingness to learn and her excellent work ethic, BTS has offered Stephanie a long-term contract once she has completed her studies at Grand Valley State University.

BTS is committed to supporting its community and will continue to provide internship opportunities to students at local colleges. BTS is currently working with Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan to offer Instructional Design internships in the coming year.

Project Management Excellence - Leanne Knowles

BTS Consulting & Training has a cadre of Project Managers to ensure the smooth design, development and implementation of its client's training initiatives. One of those Project Manager's, Leanne Knowles is a "generalist" that so immerses herself in her client's project that she ultimately becomes a specialist in their business by project completion. Leanne is often overheard quoting Thomas Edison – "Hell, there are no rules here; we’re trying to accomplish something." She lives this philosophy by being a multi-faceted and versatile Project Manager that can jump on virtually any project whether it is new or something in-progress.
